Film Screening
On Saturday 5 April 2025, I was invited by Noisy Women Presents to contribute original video works to Steve Beresford’s belated birthday event at Café OTO, one of the UK’s most prominent venues for experimental and improvised music. The event was originally to feature Steve Beresford and Faradena Afifi performing live. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, they prepared a 40-minute video of four duo performances, filmed by me specifically for this event.
These short films were officially programmed and screened between live sets on the night. The videos captured an intimate, improvised musical exchange between two leading figures in experimental sound, with my visual language providing the framing and atmosphere for their collaboration. This video-based contribution extended my role as a transmedia artist and aligned with my practice of audiovisual improvisation and documentation.
